Playground Coding: EdTech Toy Design

A game that makes learning programming fun by taking it off the screen and into an interactive storybook and playground.

          Working through programming concepts to understand the learning and engagement barriers             for two siblings ages 4 & 6.

           Co-designing a playground scale version of what began as a boardgame.

Game mechanisms brainstormed by children compared with how they “played out.”

2.feedback

Story elements translated into programming instructions. This was developed into a pop-up                 pirate map with embedded circuits.
